Paris A-Z: W is for Walking

Paris A to Z: W is for Walking

The Sassy Guide to the City of Light

As an American living in Paris for nearly 9 years, I have plenty of words of wisdom to share about this glorious, yet sometimes frustrating, city. Each weekday this month I will share my thoughts on some of the best stuff to do in Paris. Today's letter, W, is for Walking.

Paris is a walking city. While the Métro has its merits, nothing beats a stroll down la rue to pick up a baguette. Or a day-long sightseeing trip around the city, getting lost on winding side streets. Wear comfortable shoes (but try to avoid the bright white sneakers that scream "America!!") and get moving! You'll be amazed at how much ground you can cover with your own two feet. You'll be tired at the end of the day, but it's a good kind of tired. Just remember to stop off for drinks and you'll be fine!

And while we're on the topic of walking, have you checked out my recaps of The Walking Dead?
